# The Constitution is no longer in effect

In the past week the Trump administration has violated the law numerous times, continuing to add to the mounting examples of his extra-Constitutional actions:

1) Trump has announced a deal with Russia to import 300,000 tons of diesel[\[1\]](#%5Fftn1) in flagrant violation of Public Law 11-109 (2022)[\[2\]](#%5Fftn2) which bans such imports and requires 90 days’ notice from the President of an intent to do so, and certification by the President that the Russian Federation

none of which have been achieved or agreed to.

2) The Trump administration cut down trees at the East Potomac Golf Course in Washington DC over the weekend, in direct violation of a court order forbidding them from doing so [\[3\]](#%5Fftn3)

3) Agents of Homeland Security conducted a predawn raid on Congresswoman Ilhan Ohmar’s home[\[4\]](#%5Fftn4), in violation of long-standing DOJ guidelines to not engage in such actions within 60 days of an election[\[5\]](#%5Fftn5), a clear expansion of the politicization of the federal government’s enforcement agencies attacks on Trump’s opponents

These are yet further proof the Constitution is no longer in force in the United States. I do not use these words idly or in jest. I mean every one of them.

We are either a nation of laws, or we are not. In this there really are no shades of grey.

Either duly enacted laws, US Code, are in effect, are binding, and enforceable, or they are not.

Either Congress and the Judiciary perform their Constitutionally mandated roles, or they do not.

Both have elected to not perform their accountabilities under the Constitution, therefore we have no Constitution in force.

This, unfortunately, means it is to We the People, to go back to our Founders' intent, and apply the basis of democratic rule - take matters back into our own hands. If Congress will not hold the Executive Branch accountable to the law, if the Judiciary is unable to muster the intestinal fortitude to do so, if they lack the practical capability to do so, them it falls to the collective "We" to do so.

Many will say that's what voting and the mid terms are for - I put to you these rely on the very same frameworks that failed already, that it is highly unlikely the opposition (Democrats) will garner the super majorities required to act conclusively, that the Executive has already acted with sufficient planning and foresight as to render any legislative actions moot, that SCOTUS is so craven and corrupt as to render any action moot, that action with existing Constitutional frameworks will prove ineffectual or down right inadequate.

Further, the Democratic leadership is corrupted by the same disease that Republicans are corrupted by - the pervasive use of money by the ultra wealthy and corporations to set the legislative agenda - they will blink in the face of the actions required because their paymasters will demand it of them.

Which leaves us with, what is your personal commitment to ensuring Democracy in this nation, and ensuring fascism is eradicated from the halls wherein it has rooted? Are you a chicken, laying her eggs for the farmer's breakfast, or the pig, giving its all for her bacon?

Your children and grandchildren's lives depend on the answer.
